Former Panthers LB Justin Houston Signing with Playoff Team

Veteran outside linebacker Justin Houston was released by the Carolina Panthers last month, giving him an opportunity to latch on with a playoff team late in the season. Tuesday morning, Houston agreed to terms with the Miami Dolphins on a deal, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.

Houston was expected to be an upgrade from what Carolina had from a pass rushing standpoint opposite Brian Burns, but it never materialized. Houston recorded just nine tackles, three QB hits, two tackles for loss, one pass breakup, and 0.5 sacks in seven games this season..
