Transfer news:Manchester United ‘very interested’ in signing Jonathan David from Lille in January

Manchester United are reportedly one of several European clubs looking to sign Lille striker Jonathan David in the ongoing winter transfer window.

It’s clear that United need reinforcements at the top end of the pitch.

The strikers have struggled to produce consistent performances this season, and this has been a major contributing factor to the club’s poor performance so far.

In fact, Erik ten Hag’s side have scored the fewest goals of any team in the top half of the Premier League.

Rasmus Hjølund had to shoulder the burden of leading United’s attack, a difficult task for the 20-year-old in his first season in England.
The young Dane had just one goal in the Premier League, although he had some success in the Champions League before United withdrew from the competition.
Jonathan David is on United’s January target list, according to Football Transfers.

He was linked with the Red Devils several times, but nothing came of it.
“Manchester United and Aston Villa are keen to sign Lille striker Jonathan David during the January transfer window, Football Transfers has confirmed.
” “Both clubs are keen to sign Lille striker Jonathan David during the January transfer window, Football Transfers has confirmed.
” We have been updated on the situation of the Canadian international striker, who has been linked with a number of big clubs over several seasons.

David has made it clear he is keen to leave Lille, and deals with Man United and Villa could be completed in the coming weeks, with both of them looking to sign a centre-forward of his quality.
We’re looking for them.
” United and Villa fend off competition from Serie A powerhouse AC Milan.
The Rossoneri apparently consider the 23-year-old the perfect long-term successor to Olivier Giroud.

However, a move to England’s top division is thought to be more important to the Canadian than any other transfer target.
