After making it all the way to the Western Conference Finals last season and making some solid moves during the NBA offseason, the Los Angeles Lakers were thought to be a legitimate title contender in the West this season, with a healthy LeBron James and Anthony Davis leading the way for the storied franchise.

Although there’s been a lot of blame given to head coach Darvin Ham and some believe the team could make some trades ahead of next month’s NBA trade deadline, the group’s overall focus might be the real problem as the team heads into the second half of the 2023-24 NBA season.

Chiney Ogwumike of ESPN believes it’s time for the Lakers to start focusing more on the offensive end of the floor rather than the team trying to be one of the best defenses in the league, via NBA on ESPN.

Even though James and Davis have played well throughout the majority of the regular season thus far, the team’s supporting cast has been shaky at best when it comes to the offensive end of the basketball floor.

Outside of Austin Reaves, the team hasn’t played consistently well on offense, which could be at the core of what is going wrong in Los Angeles.
