Quinn Ewers posted a video on social media Thursday announcing that he will return to the Texas Longhorns for his senior season.
Ewers released a 37-second video of him explaining what being a Longhorn means to him and letting fans know he’s coming back.
“Dear Longhorn Nation, Ever since I was a kid I dreamed of playing quarterback at the University of Texas.
I am beyond grateful to be in the position I am in.
“God has shown me over the past two years who I am as a real person, and the ups and downs of this fan base and this university have always supported me.

Ewers is a native of San Antonio, Southlake where he attended Carroll High School and was one of the most highly touted recruits in college history.
Ewers becomes the sixth player to earn a No.
1,000 ranking from 247Sports, joining Vince Young, Jadeveon Clowney, Robert Nkendiche, Rashan Gary and Ernie Sims.
Ewers, who originally attended Texas, later transferred to Ohio State University, forgoing his senior year of high school and enrolling early.
After he spent one season at Ohio State, Ewers was named the starter the following season, where his head coach Steve transferred to Texas to play under Sarkisian.
Ewers started 10 games in his first season in Austin and finished the season with a 6-4 record, but lost 27-20 to Washington in the Alamo Bowl.
The following season, Ewers led Texas to a 12-2 record, a Big 12 championship and a berth in the College Football Playoff semifinals, but they lost again, this time to Washington, 37-31.
Ewers threw for 3,479 yards, 22 touchdowns, and six interceptions during the 2023 season.
Ewers’ return makes Texas the favorite for the 2025 College Football National Championship and means Arch Manning, who also received a
000 rating from 247Sports, will most likely spend next season on the bench.
