A familiar face has returned to his 40-acre estate.
Former longtime Texas Longhorns defensive line coach Duane Akina is returning to Austin after nearly a decade away from the program, according to multiple reports.

He is expected to join the team as a senior analyst and will no doubt help find a solution to the Longhorns’ pass defense issues from last season.

Former Texas Longhorns longtime defensive line coach Duane Akina is returning to Austin after nearly a decade away from the program, according to multiple reports.

Akina spent more than a decade with the Horns from 2001 to 2013, during which time he played a huge role in building his group one of the best second-rounders in the country.
