The Dallas Cowboys officially signed a former wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Cowboys are bringing Bryant back for the summer of 2024, giving the seasoned player another opportunity to establish himself on their roster, according to Aaron Wilson of KRPC-TV. Nov. 7 was Bryant’s original signing date with Dallas’ practice squad following his NFL reinstatement. After his January 4 release, he did not play in any games in 2023.

The former Steelers fourth-round selection hasn’t participated in an NFL contest since 2018. He caught 126 passes for 1,917 yards and 17 touchdowns while he was a player for Pittsburgh. After that, he was traded to the Oakland Raiders, where he only made eight appearances before receiving an indefinite suspension. Bryant, 31, played for the Canadian Football League’s Toronto Argonauts and Edmonton Elks during his time away from the NFL. He played for the Vegas Vipers in the XFL last spring.

 

In particular, the Lakers are rumored to be searching for a wing player with quickness and athleticism to complement LeBron James and Anthony Davis as a reliable scoring option. Murray, who is being made available by Atlanta and shares an agent with James and Davis named Rich Paul, seems to be of particular interest to them.

Murray is shooting 38% from 3-point range and 47% from the field while dishing out 21.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 1.4 steals per game. This season, he is due $17.7 million.

Murray signed a $114 million, four-year contract extension with the Hawks in July, and it is generally anticipated that he will be dealt before the deadline of February 8.

Russell is averaging 2.8 rebounds, 6.1 assists, and 15.7 points. He is making 40% of his shots and 47% of his total shots.
