“The Shocking Truth About 3 Celtics Who Won’t Survive the 2024 Trade Deadline

The Boston Celtics may look at making some minor tweaks to upgrade their potential Championship Roster.

The Boston Celtics have reportedly made it known they won’t be making any major moves prior to the trade deadline on Feb. 8. Before the season tipped off, the Celtics acquired both Kristaps Porzingis and Jrue Holiday.

Both of these guys will be major components for Boston as we get deeper into the regular season and inch closer to postseason action. With the likes of Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Derrick White all being valuable for the Celtics, this team is very well balanced.

Boston doesn’t have many assets left to dish out but here are a few players that Boston may look at moving away from.

1. Luke Kornet

Center Luke Kornet is a big man who has solid athleticism and length in the frontcourt. Kornet looks to spot up on the perimeter but leaves a lot to be desired on the defensive front. The Vanderbilt product can get finessed around the rim by bigger players.

Kornet stands at 7-foot-1 and 250 pounds but he has a lengthy frame. The 28-year-old came to Boston before the 2021 campaign and has been there since. Over the last three years, Kornet is averaging 3.7 points and 2.9 rebounds per game.

The Celtics could be looking to upgrade the frontcourt with someone who is more aggressive offensively while being more disruptive around the rim. With Porzingis’ injury history, it would be smart for Boston to be proactive in the trade market. It’s always a smart move to plan ahead as injuries tend to pile up later on in the year.
