Just In:.Celtics acquire G Jaden Springer from..The Boston Celtics acquired guard Jaden Springer from the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday in exchange for a 2024 second-round draft pick. Springer, 21, averaged 4.0 points and 1.8 rebounds in 32 games (one start) for the 76ers this season. In three NBA seasons — all with Philadelphia — Springer has averaged 3.4 points and 1.5 rebounds in 50 games (three starts). The Sixers selected him with the 28th overall pick in the 2021 draft out of Tennessee. Boston also dealt guard Dalano Banton, and cash, to the Portland Trail Blazers. The Celtics received a heavily protected second-round pick for the 24-year-old Banton, who averaged 2.3 points and 1.5 boards in 24 games (one start) with Boston this season. Banton spent his first two NBA seasons with the Toronto Raptors, appearing in 95 games (three starts).
