Forest will assess Morgan Gibbs-White late in the game following his strenuous performance in the midweek fourth round match. Although the attacker seemed to be moving more freely at the conclusion and was able to take a spot-kick during the shootout, he was still limping around the City Ground pitch during extra time.

“The game was challenging. We played a lot of minutes in extra time, especially for the guys who haven’t played recently, according to head coach Nuno Espirito Santo.

“We have various setbacks and problematic circumstances. Gonzalo is injured; he won’t play tomorrow, and we still need to evaluate a few players’ problems.

In the final moments before we removed him, Gonzalo felt something in his hamstring while out on a run. He was a little uncomfortable. Today at 7 p.m., he will undergo the scan. We will have to wait tomorrow since he is not available.

Nuno said of Gibbs-White, “He had some pain and discomfort.” We still need to evaluate him.

Matz Sels, Gio Reyna, and Rodrigo Ribeiro—all January additions—were not allowed to play against the Robins, and Ryan Yates and Nicolas Dominguez, two midfielders, were suspended. The quintet is ready for action on Saturday, but Nuno is still without Ibrahim Sangare, Willy Boly, and Ola Aina because they are all representing their countries at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Chris Wood is also out due to a hamstring injury. The attacker might be sidelined for as long as two months.

Nuno stated, “He is receiving treatment every day and is getting better.” However, he can’t be reached tomorrow.
