29th –Minutes applause Leeds United V..

Swansea City v Leeds United – Minutes applause in the 29th minute for Chris as club pays tribute

All of the Swansea City family was saddened at the weekend to learn of the passing of one of their own in Chris Brown who passed peacefully in his sleep on Sunday morning.

Chris was one of the club’s biggest fans and known by many in and around the Swansea.com Stadium on matchday as well as on all aspects of social media where he shared many of his views with a wider audience than just those closest to him.

Tributes have come in far and wide since his passing and the club have asked supporters to join in with a minute’s applause in the 29th minute in memory of Chris – a moment that will mean so much to so many people.

Chris’ passing is also noted by key club personnel in the matchday programme with Chairman Andy Coleman saying Everyone at the club was saddened to hear the news that popular Swans fan Chris Brown passed away over the weekend.

Chris was a much-loved member of the community and a keen follower of the club both home and away.

“I was blessed to have had multiple conversations with Chris. He was the first to come welcome me to the area at our opening fixture against Birmingham earlier and he was so kind to me. So genuine and so positive.

“I remember my youngest daughter saying after meeting Chris, “Daddy, people are so nice here.” That really stuck with me, and I will always be grateful to him for that.
