just in: during Nottingham match head coach signed two best players with…..

In West Ham’s 2-0 loss to Nottingham Forest on Saturday, not many players for the opposition stood out; yet, one guy in particular has come under fire for his bad performance and lack of fitness.
West Ham’s dismal Premier League performance persists.

This season has been quite the rollercoaster for West Ham supporters. The East London team made headlines last year when they defeated Chelsea, Tottenham, and Arsenal. However, since the new year, they have lost all three of their league games and have yet to win any of their remaining matches.

It seems that the Hammers have had second thoughts about keeping the Scottish boss in place.

Shocking" West Ham player branded unfit by Ashton and O'Hara

There has been a rising feeling of dissatisfaction at the London Stadium despite the team finishing eighth in the Premier League and earning a spot in the round of sixteen of the Europa League. Following an ugly 6-0 loss to Arsenal the previous weekend, a large number of fans left the stadium before halftime, voting with their feet. Former captain Declan Rice’s goal to make it six aggravated the injury, and David Moyes’s position came under increasing strain.

West Ham’s inability to find a replacement for Rice has contributed to some of their problems this season. Although the £105 million that the Englishman brought in helped to finance some additions, Rice’s exit has obviously left a huge void in the heart of the Hammers’ midfield. Worse, the guy who was brought in to support the center of the park hasn’t looked well in his new uniform.

Following the game on Saturday, Dean Ashton and Jamie O’Hara discussed their thoughts on ‘ performance on their TalkSPORT radio program. Their criticisms were all the same. Seventy-one minutes into the match at the City Ground, the midfield player received a second yellow card, adding to his long list of subpar outings for his new team.

“Let’s be honest, Kalvin Phillips’s start to his West Ham career has been absolutely shocking,” said former Hammers striker Ashton, criticizing Phillips. He is obviously far from up to speed and has been sitting on the bench for far too long.

“Kalvin Phillips can’t go to the Euros, he looks unfit, he looks way off the pace,” O’Hara said after expressing his opinions.

It now seems doubtful that Phillips, who formerly served as a mainstay for Gareth Southgates’ England, would add to his thirty-one caps for The Three Lions anytime soon. Born into Leeds United’s academy, Phillips gained praise for his toughness in the tackle and his inventiveness as a midfield player. After joining Man City in 2022, the Englishman struggled to get playing time, making only thirty-one appearances in eighteen months after leaving his childhood club.

After spending time away from regular football, Phillips is now on loan at West Ham and is hardly the player he once was. Due to his lack of fitness, the midfielder has struggled to get into games, making a lot of mistakes and not creating an impression while playing in one of the most physically demanding positions of the pitch.
