Awful News Knicks :Unexpected Two Players Injure Suddenly….
A slew of ailments have left the New York Knicks severely shorthanded before the All-Star break. The Knicks were without Julius Randle, OG Anunoby, Donte DiVincenzo, Isaiah Hartenstein, and Bojan Bogdanovic last Wednesday against the Orlando Magic. In their first game since the All-Star Game on Thursday night, New York will likely see a significant portion of its core back on the court with Jalen Brunson. The team plays the Philadelphia 76ers.
Due to a hamstring ailment, DiVincenzo—who has been playing a lot of minutes since Randle’s shoulder injury—was unable to play against the Magic. The swingman, 27, is no longer listed as injured and should be available for Thursday’s game, which is wonderful news. Both Bogdanovic and Hartenstein are marked as likely, so it appears that they are also leaning toward playing. Bogdanovic was a significant addition to the Knicks and one of the key names moving around the trade deadline. Bogdanovic, who is well-known for his wing scoring prowess and shooting accuracy, has averaged at least 11 points while shooting 43.5 percent from the field in each of his first two games with New York.
Due to starter center Mitchell Robinson’s ankle ailment, Hartenstein has played a significantly bigger role for the majority of the season. The big man had a 12-point, 20-rebound game against the Chicago Bulls last month, and he has racked up 10 or more rebounds in 11 of his previous 17 games.
As of right now, the Knicks are 33-22 and sit only half a game ahead of the 76ers for the #4 place in the Eastern Conference standings after the All-Star break. With a victory on Thursday night, the Knicks, who have already defeated the Sixers 128-92 in Philadelphia this season, will be one step closer to controlling the season tiebreaker over their opponents.
