With almost 100 goals in his career, Sheridan joined Celtic in 2007 and played for the Parkhead team until 2010. During that period, the now 34-year-old spent time on loan at Motherwell, Plymouth Argyle, and St Johnstone.
Following his departure from Celtic, Cillian relocated to Bulgaria, where he joined CSKA Sofia. In 2011–12, he went on another loan to St Johnstone, where he was assistant head coach Liam Craig’s teammate.
Kilmarnock played in the 2012–2013 season before trips to Cyprus, Poland, New Zealand, and Israel concluded in 2021 with a return to Scotland with Dundee. Last summer, Cillian signed a short-term contract with Inverness Caledonian Thistle after spending two years on Tayside.
“We have been looking to get more experience on board, and we have that now in key positions,” stated head coach Davidson. As a team that is always striving to develop players, Cillian and other players like him will be a big assistance because of their extensive knowledge of the game.
“He provides us with increased physical presence up front and the ability to sneak past defenses.”
“I have been training with the club for a few weeks now, and the facilities and the people have been fantastic,” Cillian stated. From now until the end of the season, I am excited to be participating.
