Breaking News: Michigan wolverines Players Visited 5-star DJ Pickett…

As head coach Sherrone Moore had predicted, Michigan football is beginning to be more proactive and aggressively in the recruiting process, and the Wolverines are beginning to gather some favourable momentum.

DJ Pickett is one of the top candidates for the 2025 class. Based in Tampa, Florida, this five-star safety is ranked sixth overall in the 247 Sports composite rankings. Pickett is a talented 6-foot-2, 170-pound player, and Michigan football is trying to maintain him in the top group.

According to Chad Simmons of On3.com, Pickett was planning official visits to LSU, Oregon, Georgia, and Miami. Simmons stated that Pickett was “down to five schools” and that the Wolverines are predicted to be among the top five schools since Michigan football is anticipated to receive an official visit.

It’s excellent news for the Wolverines that Pickett informed Simmons he wants to attend games on campus in the fall and that he won’t be making a choice this summer. Give Moore time to settle in, and later in the 2025 cycle, he could have a shot with someone like Pickett.

Fans of Michigan should also be familiar with David Sanders. The 6-foot-6 offensive tackle from Providence Day in Charlotte has already arrived on school and is teammates with 2024 signee quarterback Jadyn Davis of Michigan. According to the 247 Sports composite rankings, he is ranked first among offensive tackles and second overall in the whole 2025 class.

Expected to receive a formal visit from Sanders are Georgia and Tennessee, as well as Clemson. Simmons mentioned that there may be a cut list soon. Michigan should be on it, but there are also several other teams to keep an eye on, like Alabama, Ohio State, and North Carolina.

For the Wolverines, getting Sanders to visit the campus in the spring and then, ideally, for an official visit this summer is crucial. That’s the route to a commitment, and given how well the Wolverines have developed their O-line talent, I don’t think they’ll end the season quietly.
