Lakers Injury Report: 2 All-Star Bucks May Miss Tonight’s LA Battle.

Two of the core All-Star members of the Milwaukee Bucks’ 2021 title team who remain on the club’s 2023-24 roster may not be available for the club’s first encounter with your Los Angeles Lakers, slated for this evening at Crypto.com Arena.

According to the NBA’s latest injury report, oft-injured Bucks swingman Khris Middleton has already been ruled out for the matchup with an ongoing left ankle sprain. He’s missed more games than he’s played this season, as has frequently been the case for the 3-and-D All-Star over the last few years. Why the Bucks felt they had to hold on to this guy, to the tune of a $102 million new contract last summer, is beyond me.

More concerningly if you’re Milwaukee, All-NBA power forward Giannis Antetokounmpo may sit out, too. The Greek Freak, a sleeper MVP contender behind favorites Nikola Jokic and Sha Gilgeous-Alexander, is grappling with left Achilles tendinitis, but he is considered probable to suit up.

Middleton and Antetokounmpo are the only rotation players who will be unavailable. Two-way players Jaylin Galloway, Ryan Rollins, and TyTy Washington are all with the Bucks’ NBAGL affiliate, the Wisconsin Herd, as is young standard-roster player Chris Livingston.

Besting the Bucks, now led by Antetotokounmpo and All-Star point guard Damian Lillard, would be an excellent feather in the middling Lakers’ late-season cap.
