BEARS AWFUL UNEXPECTED TRADE NEWS: Justin Fields exchange suddenly…

Given their lack of commitment to Geno Smith as quarterback, the Seattle Seahawks could want to inquire about with the Chicago Bears.

It is widely believed that the Bears, who possess the first overall choice in this year’s NFL Draft and are anticipated to choose USC’s Caleb Williams, will trade Fields this summer.

Chicago is having trouble because the market for Fields is closing.

The Pittsburgh Steelers and Atlanta Falcons, two of the top clubs that were supposed to be interested in Fields, have both acquired quarterbacks: Russell Wilson joined the Steelers, while Kirk Cousins inked a huge contract with the Falcons.

The Las Vegas Raiders were also mentioned as a possible destination, but since they signed Gardner Minshew to oppose Aidan O’Connell, we can definitely rule them out at this point.

The Seahawks, according to ESPN’s Louis Riddick, make a lot of sense because they only have one quarterback on the team and should sign Fields so Smith can face him.

Fields is coming off of a 2023 season in which he completed 61.4 percent of his passes for 2,562 yards, 16 touchdowns, and nine interceptions while recording an 86.3 passer rating in 13 starts. He added four touchdowns and 657 yards of rushing.

The Bears chose the 25-year-old with the 11th overall choice in the 2021 NFL Draft. He played NCAA football at Ohio State.

Fields’ career has been mostly characterized by inconsistency, as seen by his 10-28 record as a starter and his occasional flash of brilliance interspersed with puzzling incidents.

However, there’s no denying Justin Fields’ skill, and maybe a stronger system may bring out even more of him. Might Seattle serve as such location for him.
