DONE DEAL: Las vegas Raiders have made a 79.8 million signing…

Raiders Are Signing Veteran DT To 1-Year Deal.

The first wave of free agency was a frenzy and the Las Vegas Raiders did well for themselves on the first day teams were able to negotiate with free agents.

The Raiders, under new head coach Antonio Pierce, seem intent on building through the trenches and they showed their commitment to doing so when they signed Christian Wilkins to a massive four-year deal.

Wilkins was the best defensive tackle on the market and his presence along the defensive line should open things up for Maxx Crosby.

Las Vegas struggled to generate much pressure on opposing quarterbacks during the 2023 NFL season, so adding Wilkins should go a long way in rectifying that.

However, the team could use more depth along the D-line given the relative youth and inexperience on the roster.

After signing Wilkins, the Raiders have reportedly agreed to terms with Adam Butler, via Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.

DT Adam Butler back to #Raiders on a one-year deal. Butler had five sacks for Las Vegas last season,” Fowler reported.

Butler went undrafted during the 2017 NFL Draft and wound up signing with the New England Patriots where he was a member of their Super Bowl LIII roster.

After four seasons with the Patriots, Butler spent one season with the Miami Dolphins before arriving in Las Vegas where he reunited with former head coach Josh McDaniels.

Butler’s a solid depth piece for the Raiders and has shown he can be productive when given opportunities.

Although he’ll be playing behind Wilkins, he’ll still likely be a part of the rotation at defensive tackle.
