TRAGIC NEWS:PENRITH PANTHERS KEY PLAYER ON INJURY EARLIER TODAY AT….

NRL 2024: Penrith Panthers champion Nathan Cleary's work ethic might be causing his body problems

As if the proposition wasn’t already difficult enough for Brisbane after they lost their skipper Adam Reynolds for the grand final rematch against Penrith, the Broncos must now contend with the loss of Payne Haas.

The Australia and New South Wales representative forward is a major out for Kevin Walters’ side after he was initially named on Tuesday only to be scratched almost immediately as he succumbed to a knee injury which will sideline him for around one month.

The 24-year-old is integral to Brisbane’s drive through the middle of the pitch with his work in tandem with Pat Carrigan – who has made the most run metres out of any forward this season to date – brutalising opposition defensive lines and allowing the likes of Reynolds and Reece Walsh to work their magic out wide.
