🚨💣 Tottenham STUN Europe with Wild £87m Bid for Real Madrid Midfield Star! 😱⚪

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly submitted a huge offer for a Real Madrid midfielder as they look to rescue a difficult Premier League campaign.

The north London club are enduring a turbulent season, currently sitting 14th in the table and only a few points clear of the relegation zone. Pressure is mounting on Thomas Frank, who is hoping January reinforcements can help stabilise Spurs’ form and secure his position.

According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, Tottenham have made a bold move for Real Madrid midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni, tabling an £87 million (€100m) bid for the 26-year-old France international. The report claims Spurs face competition from Liverpool, who have also submitted a similar €100m offer, leaving Madrid with two major proposals on the table.

Tchouaméni, who previously thrived under Xabi Alonso, is seen by Tottenham as a player capable of instantly elevating their midfield. Fichajes states:

“Tottenham have also made a move. The London club are looking to make a competitive leap and believe Tchouaméni would be a perfect fit for their project.”

Despite the interest, Real Madrid head coach Álvaro Arbeloa is said to have complete confidence in the midfielder. Both Tottenham and Liverpool have reportedly been monitoring the player closely, compiling highly positive assessments of his performances in Madrid.

The report further adds:

“As the days go by, everything suggests Real Madrid are in no rush to make a decision. The club views the player as a fundamental part of its present and immediate future.”

Madrid’s stance makes a January transfer extremely unlikely, regardless of the size of the bids. Since arriving from Monaco, Tchouaméni has been an important figure for Los Blancos, and Arbeloa clearly considers him central to his plans.

Desperate bid highlights Tottenham’s struggles

The £87m proposal underlines the severity of Tottenham’s current situation. Having already signed Conor Gallagher from Atlético Madrid for £35m earlier this month, Frank is pushing for further additions to fix long-standing midfield problems.

However, the timing and scale of the bid raise doubts. With Spurs battling for consistency and survival in the Premier League, it is difficult to imagine an elite player like Tchouaméni leaving Real Madrid for a relegation scrap in north London.

Ultimately, the move appears more symbolic than practical — a statement of intent aimed at reassuring supporters and demonstrating backing for Frank. In reality, Tchouaméni is highly unlikely to trade life at the Bernabéu for a struggling Tottenham side, no matter how large the offer.
