Relegation-threatened PL side eye ex-Leeds United coach amidst Fabrizio Romano bombshell

Leeds United Climb the Table as Crystal Palace Face Uncertainty

Leeds United are looking to keep climbing the table after leapfrogging Tottenham Hotspur with a draw at Chelsea, while Crystal Palace could be heading into a worrying decline.

Daniel Farke deserves enormous credit for keeping Leeds clear of the relegation zone. Leeds’ improved form, coinciding with West Ham United’s resurgence, has opened the survival fight right up.

Crystal Palace Still Looking Over Their Shoulder

Despite sitting as high as 13th, Crystal Palace are still looking over their shoulder. The Eagles’ ongoing managerial turmoil is not helping their situation.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has provided a major update on Oliver Glasner’s future at the club.

Leeds will hope the teams around them remain distracted by European commitments — including Palace, who are competing in the Conference League.

Travelling to Bosnia on Thursday, Glasner’s side struggled again in Europe, drawing 1–1 with Zrinjski Mostar. The result further strained the relationship between fans and the Austrian manager, despite it being less than a year since the club’s FA Cup triumph.

Romano Update: Palace Holding Internal Talks

Romano revealed that internal discussions are ongoing at Selhurst Park regarding a possible immediate decision on Glasner’s position.

Although Glasner had been expected to leave at the end of the season, his departure could be fast-tracked as relations between the manager and the club have deteriorated rapidly.

However, further discussions have led Palace to insist they intend to keep Glasner for the remainder of the campaign — though that stance could change if results continue to decline.

Robbie Keane Linked as Possible Replacement

With uncertainty surrounding Glasner, Palace are already considering potential replacements capable of keeping them in the Premier League.

Currently sitting two points above Leeds, Palace are eight points clear of the relegation zone, but have managed just one win and six points since December 7.

If the club decides to dismiss Glasner, one of the leading candidates is former Leeds player and coach Robbie Keane, according to talkSPORT journalist Alex Crook.
