Former Celtic striker and TV pundit Chris Sutton has sparked debate after claiming one of **Rangersâ brightest young talents is âwasting his primeâ at Ibrox.
Speaking after Rangersâ recent matches, Sutton pointed to the contrast between the performance against Motherwell and the frustrating draw with Livingston, insisting the playerâs influence was badly missed.
> 🗣️ âWhen you watch him against Motherwell, you understand that he is just wasting his prime with Rangers. They really felt his absence against Livingston,â Sutton said.
The former England international also questioned whether the youngster has received the right development pathway so far in his career.
> 🗣️ âI believe he lacked proper career guidance. He has the talent, but sometimes talent needs direction,â Sutton added.
Midway through his comments, Sutton revealed the player he was referring to â Mohamed DiomandĂŠ â and suggested that bigger clubs could soon come calling.
> 🗣️ âIâll be keeping my eye on him in the summer transfer window. If he plays like that consistently, there will be interest,â Sutton concluded.
Rangers fans are now split: some agree the young midfielder deserves a bigger platform, while others believe Ibrox is the perfect place for him to grow into a top-level star.
With the summer transfer window approaching, Suttonâs comments may only increase the spotlight on the Rangers youngster â and raise fresh questions about his long-term future in Glasgow.
