Celtic didn’t just beat Rangers 3-1 yesterday. They took souvenirs. Fresh footage is circulating online showing the Green Brigade displaying a set of drums reportedly “confiscated” from the Union Bears during Sunday’s Glasgow Derby at Celtic Park.
The Celtic ultras group posed for pictures with the drums and other items taken from their Rangers counterparts. The images were shared widely on social media, captioned with mocking messages aimed at the banned Union Bears.
The background: Banned but not broken.
The Union Bears weren’t even supposed to be at Celtic Park. Celtic refused to sell them tickets after the March 8 Ibrox chaos — a day that left a steward injured, a female police officer kicked to the ground, and a 10-year-old child hit by a coin. The SPFL backed Celtic’s decision.
But the Union Bears called for all Rangers fans to wear black. Then they showed up anyway.
Before kick-off, a massive Union Bears banner was unfurled in the Rangers end. A flag bearing the group’s insignia flew over the away section.
Then the Green Brigade struck back. They took the Union Bears’ drums. Then they posted photos of their “confiscated” items online for the world to see.
On the pitch: 3-1 humiliation.
Rangers took an early lead through Mikey Moore. Then Celtic responded.
Yang Hyun-jun equalized in the 23rd minute.
Then Daizen Maeda took over. He bundled home Kieran Tierney’s pass to make it 2-1 in the 53rd minute.
Minutes later, he produced a moment of magic — an audacious overhead kick that looped into the top corner from 15 yards. Celtic Park erupted.
Game over. Season over. Rangers finish third. No trophy. No Champions League.
On social media: The kill shot.
Before the game, Rangers’ admin made a bizarre decision. They posted a scenic aerial photo of Celtic Park with the caption “Away Days” and a blue heart.
Rangers fans were confused. Why were they posting a love letter to their rival’s stadium? Many urged the admin to take it down.
Then Celtic won 3-1.
Minutes after the final whistle, Celtic’s admin quote-posted Rangers’ message and wrote: “Paradise on your mind.”
Then they PINNED it to the top of their X profile.
The reply racked up nearly 1 MILLION views.
Rangers fans begged their admin to delete the original post. Hours later, they wiped it from both X and Instagram.
The bottom line.
3-1 on the pitch. Banners in the stands. Drums confiscated. Trolled on social media. Post deleted in shame.
Danny Rohl becomes the first Rangers manager to lose three straight league games since Dick Advocaat in 2000.
This isn’t a rivalry anymore.
It’s total humiliation.
