3 Premier League Giants Enter Transfer War as Raskin’s Market Value Skyrockets After Spain Masterclass

3 Premier League Giants Enter Transfer War as Raskin’s £60 Million Market Value Sparks Heated Debate After Spain Masterclass

Rangers midfield sensation Nicolas Raskin has emerged as one of the most talked-about players in European football after his sensational display against Spain, with reports claiming that three Premier League giants are now preparing to battle for his signature.

The Belgian international has enjoyed a meteoric rise over the past year, and his latest masterclass on the international stage has reportedly pushed his estimated market value to a staggering £60 million. Such a valuation would make him one of the most expensive players ever to come out of the Scottish Premiership if Rangers were to sanction a sale.

Premier League heavyweights Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa are all believed to be keeping a close eye on the 24-year-old after another commanding performance in midfield. Raskin dictated the tempo from start to finish, breaking up Spain’s attacks while showcasing his vision, composure and passing range against one of Europe’s strongest sides.

His display immediately reignited speculation over his future, with several reports suggesting Rangers could face enormous offers before the transfer window closes. The growing interest has fuelled excitement among supporters, many of whom believe the Belgian has developed into one of the finest midfielders currently playing outside Europe’s top five leagues.

However, not everyone agrees with the eye-watering £60 million valuation.

Former Celtic defender and current pundit Darren O’Dea has dismissed the reported price tag, insisting modern football’s transfer market has become completely inflated.

> “C’mon, what’s football turning into? He’s not worth half of that amount,” O’Dea said while reacting to Raskin’s reported £60 million valuation.

The remarks have quickly gone viral, sparking fierce debate across Scottish football.

Many Rangers fans have hit back at O’Dea’s comments, arguing that elite midfielders capable of dominating international matches rarely come cheap in today’s market. They point to recent Premier League transfers where clubs have spent well over £50 million on players with similar profiles and believe Raskin has proven he belongs in that category.

Others, however, have echoed O’Dea’s concerns, suggesting that while Raskin is undoubtedly an exceptional talent, a £60 million valuation may be difficult to justify until he consistently performs at the highest level in European competitions or the Premier League.

Regardless of the differing opinions, one fact is becoming increasingly clear: Raskin’s stock has never been higher.

With Premier League clubs continuing their search for dynamic, technically gifted midfielders capable of controlling games at the highest level, the Belgian has become one of the most sought-after names on the market.

For Rangers, the situation presents both an opportunity and a dilemma. Holding onto one of their most influential players could strengthen their ambitions on the pitch, but a bid anywhere near the reported £60 million valuation would be incredibly difficult to ignore.

As transfer speculation continues to intensify, all eyes will remain on Ibrox to see whether one of England’s biggest clubs is prepared to meet Rangers’ asking price—or whether Raskin’s remarkable rise will continue in Glasgow for another season.
