Nottingham Forest Star Player Renews Contract with the Club as Club Confirmed Deal

Nottingham Forest is delighted to announce that talismanic midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White has signed a new three-year contract with the club, keeping him at the City Ground until the summer of 2028.

The 25-year-old England international, who has been a standout performer and fan favourite since joining from Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2022, has committed his long-term future to the Reds in what the club has described as a “record deal.”

Gibbs-White played a pivotal role in Forest’s Premier League stability and European qualification push last season, contributing crucial goals and assists while earning senior England caps. His decision to stay comes despite reported interest from other clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur earlier in the window.

Club owner Evangelos Marinakis said:

“Morgan is a special player – not just in terms of talent, but character and mentality. He represents what we want this football club to be: a winner, talented, ambitious, fearless, and proud. There was significant interest from various clubs, but we were determined to build our future with Morgan at the heart of it.”

Gibbs-White commented:

“I’ve felt at home at Forest from the moment I arrived. The support from the fans, my teammates, and everyone around the club has been unbelievable. I believe in what we’re building here – and with the backing of Mr Marinakis and the enormous ambition he has, I want to be part of making something special. I’m excited for what’s to come.”

The new deal represents a major boost for head coach Oliver Glasner as Forest prepare for another competitive Premier League campaign and European football.

This contract extension sends a strong message about the club’s ambition and stability moving forward.
