“Jim Goodwin with his rants” “The Dundee head coach has asked the club for an appeal over an awful incident from his clash with Celtic…..

SEND HIM OFF Jim Goodwin brands Celtic star as ‘out of control’ as Dundee United boss questions why Hoops didn’t go down to ten men
Could it have changed the game?

JIM GOODWIN has questioned why Celtic didn’t go down to ten men today after what he called an “out of control” tackle from Julian Araujo.

Dundee United were on the receiving end of a 4-0 thumping at the hands of a rejuvenated Hoops side under Martin O’Neill.

Goals came from Yang Hyun-jun, Arne Engels, Benjamin Nygren and Daizen Maeda as O’Neill ensured Celtic didn’t go three games without a win.

But with the score at 2-0, January signing Araujo slid in on Will Ferry and his mistimed lunge left the Terrors midfielder lying in a heap.

Referee Nick Walsh brandished a yellow card and the VAR team opted not recommend an on-field review to upgrade it to a red card.

Goodwin however was far from happy with the on-loan defender’s challenge and felt he could’ve been sent off.

Celtic haven’t had a player dismissed in a domestic game since Yang in March 2024.

Goodwin blasted: “I thought the Celtic defender was a little out of control if I am honest.

“Will Ferry took a real sore one. VAR seemed to skim over it pretty quickly, I don’t think there was a call for the referee or anything.

“If they are satisfied with that, then it’s fine but for us, Will was certainly caught high on the ankle.”

On the game Goodwin added: “Celtic were clearly the better team on the day and deserved to take all three points.

“You come to Celtic at the best of times and it’s always difficult.

“We knew there was an added extra to it here with the change of management and I felt it would give the Celtic players and fans a lift.

“That proved the case, you felt it in the atmosphere before the game.

“Celtic were back to playing a system and a formation that I think suits the players and one, certainly, that they are more familiar with.

“I thought over the last couple of games Celtic have been threatening that in terms of goals.

“We had to try and adapt to accommodate that.

“Ultimately we haven’t defended the box well enough and the goals from our point of view are really poor.

“We can do better. And we had some big opportunities at the other end.”

🚨 “IS THIS FAREWELL OR SARCASM?” 🤔

Celtic fans erupt as Danny Röhl’s ‘goodbye’ message to Wilfred Nancy raises eyebrows

Celtic fans were left stunned — and furious — after Danny Röhl’s message following Wilfred Nancy’s departure sparked a wave of confusion and outrage across social media. What was expected to be a respectful farewell instead felt, to many supporters, like a thinly veiled dig wrapped in polite words.

Nancy’s sudden exit had already divided the fanbase, but Röhl’s post poured petrol on an already raging fire 🔥.

    In his message, Röhl wrote:

🗣️ “Football moves fast. I wish Wilfred all the best on his next journey. Some lessons come quicker than expected.”

That final line was all it took.

Within minutes, Celtic fans were questioning the tone, timing, and intent behind the words.

    💬 “That’s not a goodbye — that’s sarcasm with a smile,” one fan posted.
💬 “‘Some lessons come quicker than expected’??? Nah, that’s a shot,” another reacted.
💬 “Say less if you’ve got nothing nice to say,” a supporter added.

Many fans believe the comment hinted at behind-the-scenes tension and subtly mocked Nancy’s short and disastrous spell at the club. The phrase “lessons come quicker” was widely interpreted as a reference to Nancy’s brief tenure and failure to adapt to the pressure at Celtic Park.

However, a small section of supporters defended Röhl, arguing that the message was simply poorly worded rather than malicious.

💬 “He tried to be clever and it backfired. Not everything is a conspiracy,” one fan claimed.

Still, the consensus online is clear:
This was not a normal farewell.

What should have been a simple goodbye has instead become another flashpoint in Celtic’s ongoing drama — raising uncomfortable questions about unity, respect, and fractures within the club’s hierarchy.

    Farewell… or sarcasm?
For many Celtic fans, the answer is painfully obvious. 🍀🔥

Celtic Dressing Room’s True Feelings on Wilfried Nancy Revealed After 33-Day “Shambles”

Martin O’Neill was swiftly ushered back into Celtic Park after a nightmare spell under the former Columbus Crew boss

Celtic’s brief and chaotic era under Wilfried Nancy has been laid bare, with claims from inside the dressing room painting a picture of confusion, frustration and a complete lack of direction.

Former Hearts and Hibs midfielder Michael Stewart has revealed he was told by Celtic players that Nancy failed to offer clear instructions, leaving the squad in what he described as a dressing-room “shambles.”

A 33-Day Nightmare Comes to an End

Nancy managed just two wins from eight games during a disastrous 33-day tenure before being dismissed. His exit followed a frantic 24 hours at Celtic Park, as Dermot Desmond issued another SOS call to Martin O’Neill.

    The short reign saw:

    • Premier Sports Cup silverware slip away

    • Celtic fall six points behind Premiership leaders Hearts

    • A damaging defeat to Rangers, which proved to be the final straw

    “No Instructions” and Tactical Confusion

Speaking on BBC Sportsound, Stewart insisted the Celtic squad were left completely in the dark as Nancy rolled out his controversial 3-4-3 system.

“I think instinctively we all just assume there were these magnificent instructions that were being given,” Stewart said.
“But I am led to believe that there was just no instructions.”

According to Stewart, the issue wasn’t over-complication — it was a total lack of information.

    Change Without Clarity

Stewart argued that had the system remained largely unchanged, the squad’s quality might have papered over the cracks. Instead, wholesale changes only deepened the confusion.

“There was basically a lack of information. And when you couple it with the whole system being changed… that is when everything breaks down.”

He added that attempting to overhaul the team’s approach and then face the league leaders just days later — without clarity — bordered on arrogance.

“Asking Players to Do Things They Can’t Do”

Stewart acknowledged the players were not blameless but stressed their pedigree should not be ignored.

“You are asking players to do different things, and asking players to do things they can’t do — I have heard that so much as well.”

He reminded listeners this is a squad that has

dominated Scottish football for much of the last decade, dismissing any suggestion the players simply couldn’t grasp the manager’s ideas.

    “These are top-class players. I don’t think it’s a message that’s been too complicated — I think it’s the exact opposite.”

    Dressing Room Verdict: “Shambles”

When pressed on exactly what he had heard from inside the camp, Stewart didn’t hold back.

    “Shambles, basically,” he said.
“They didn’t know what he wanted.”

A damning assessment — and one that explains why Celtic’s hierarchy moved quickly to bring a familiar figure back through the doors.

    BREAKING 🚨
WILFRED NANCY’S STATEMENT THAT GOT HIM SACKED HAS BEEN REVEALED…

Celtic’s shock decision to part ways with Wilfred Nancy has taken a dramatic new twist, with reports now revealing that the Frenchman’s dismissal was triggered not by fan pressure, but by a controversial internal comment that left the board with little choice.

For weeks, speculation suggested that growing unrest among supporters played a key role in Nancy’s exit. However, sources close to the club insist the final straw was a statement made by the manager during a closed-door meeting, a comment viewed by the Celtic hierarchy as crossing a line and undermining the club’s long-term vision.

According to insiders, Nancy openly questioned the board’s sporting priorities, hinting that certain decisions were being driven more by financial caution than by ambition on the pitch. While some fans may sympathise with that sentiment, the Celtic board reportedly felt the comment publicly and privately challenged their authority and risked destabilising the dressing room.

What has angered many supporters is the growing belief that the decision had little to do with performances or fan sentiment. “He was sacked not because of the fans but because of his comment,” one source claimed. “That’s what makes it sad.”

Social media has since erupted, with sections of the Celtic fanbase accusing the board of failing to put supporters’ interests first. Many argue that Nancy was willing to speak uncomfortable truths in pursuit of success, only to pay the ultimate price for his honesty.

As Celtic now move on in search of their next manager, this revelation raises uncomfortable questions about governance, transparency, and whether strong opinions are still welcome at Parkhead — even when they echo what many fans are already thinking.

🗣️ “They are now paying the price of greed and karma”
Kris Boyd didn’t hold back after Celtic were trashed by Rangers in the Old Firm yesterday

Kris Boyd has launched a blistering attack on Celtic following their humiliating defeat to Rangers, claiming the club is now suffering the consequences of years of poor decisions, short-term thinking, and a lack of loyalty to those who built their success.

Speaking after the Old Firm clash, Boyd showed no sympathy for the Hoops as Rangers ran riot, insisting the result was not a surprise but rather the outcome of a long-brewing collapse behind the scenes.

    > 🗣️ “This didn’t happen overnight,” Boyd said.
“Celtic are now paying the price of greed and karma. You don’t tear down foundations and expect the house to stand.”

The former Rangers striker went further by referencing Celtic’s treatment of legendary figures, singling out Martin O’Neill as a symbol of what the club has lost.

    > 🗣️ “Martin O’Neill did everything for that club,” Boyd continued.
“He gave them dominance, belief, European nights — and how did it end? They chanted him out. That tells you everything about the culture that crept in.”

Boyd argued that Celtic’s constant managerial changes and boardroom decisions have eroded the identity that once made them formidable, contrasting it sharply with Rangers’ growing unity and clarity.

    > 🗣️ “The best Celtic managers were backed, trusted, and respected,” he added.
“Now it’s panic, reaction, and excuses. Rangers were ruthless yesterday — Celtic were lost.”

The defeat has intensified pressure on Celtic’s hierarchy, with fans voicing frustration over performances, recruitment, and leadership. Meanwhile, Rangers’ emphatic win has reignited belief across Ibrox that the balance of power may be shifting once again.

One thing is clear: Kris Boyd believes Celtic’s pain is self-inflicted — and the Old Firm result was simply the latest reminder.

😢 “The Scottish Premiership is gone”
Danny Röhl post-match interview makes the journalist cut his mic 🎤

Danny Röhl has landed himself at the centre of a major storm after an explosive post-match interview in which he openly slammed the referee over Rangers’ disallowed goal — comments that many believe crossed the line on live television.

What began as a standard post-match discussion quickly turned uncomfortable when Röhl questioned the officiating, insisting that Rangers were robbed by the referee’s decision to rule out a goal. In a moment that stunned viewers, Röhl boldly claimed the scoreline “should have been 1–4 in favour of Rangers”, a statement that immediately changed the tone of the interview.

The journalist, visibly caught off guard, attempted to steer the conversation away, but Röhl pressed on, criticising the decision and suggesting it had a decisive impact on the game. Within moments, the interview was abruptly cut short, with reports indicating the journalist muted his microphone to prevent the situation from escalating further on air.

Backlash followed almost instantly. Fans and pundits accused Röhl of showing a lack of sportsmanship, arguing that post-match emotions should never justify publicly attacking match officials. The controversy deepened when alleged leaked comments surfaced online after the interview ended, despite the original clip being deleted.

Critics were quick to respond, with one former player stating:

    > “This is no longer analysis. This is disrespect — to the referee, to the opposition, and to the league.”

While some supporters praised Röhl for “speaking the truth,” others believe his words risk undermining the credibility of the Scottish Premiership and putting unnecessary pressure on referees.

With calls growing for the Scottish FA to review the incident, attention now turns to whether Röhl will issue an apology or stand by his claim that Rangers should have walked away 4–1 winners.

One interview. One disallowed goal. And a controversy that refuses to die.
