Jaime Munguisa vs. John Ryder: live updates, results and highlights

The former Mexican champion will fight to define his future.

Jaime Munguia feels it’s time to make the leap, and now in the super middleweight division, he wants to make a statement fight that will catapult him to the top.

At 27 years of age, and with a record of 42-0 with 33 knockouts, Munguia will put his future on the line against tough Brit John Ryder in a 12 round fight in Phoenix, Arizona.

Munguia comes to this event under the orders of the experienced Freddie Roach, so the Mexican intends to take his boxing to the next level, and remain as one of the options for Saul Alvarez for May.

For Ryder, returning to America since he lost to Canelo last May is a great opportunity, and he assured that this time the best judge will be a knockout.

Will Munguia be able to do what Canelo couldn’t (knock Ryder out)? As Oscar de la Hoya predicted.

Or will Ryder manage to get the W and bounce back?..
