Former Cardinals head coach Kingsbury hired by Raiders.

After spending the last two weeks interviewing with many NFL teams, former Arizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury has found a new position.

On Thursday night, Adam Schefter of ESPN NFL Insiders on X (formerly Twitter) revealed that Kingsbury has been hired by the Las Vegas Raiders to serve as their new offensive coordinator.

On Jan. 18, it was reported that the Chicago Bears wanted to execute an interview with Kingsbury for their OC vacancy, but hired Shane Waldron instead a few days later.

Now with the Raiders, Kingsbury will get another crack at coaching in the pros after his time in Arizona ended abruptly last year.

Previously, he spent four seasons with the Cardinals and coached them to a 28-37-1 record from 2019 until he was ultimately fired on Jan. 9th, 2023.

In Arizona, Kingsbury led the Cards to the 2021 playoffs before receiving a six-year contract because of his efforts through 2027 on Mar. 22, 2022.

However, not even a year into his new contract was Kingsbury let go after the Cardinals went 4-13 in 2022.

Last season, Kingsbury was a senior offensive analyst and quarterbacks coach at USC.

While he got to work with a presumed top-3 NFL Draft pick in Caleb Williams, the Raiders don’t select until No. 13 this year.

Unless Las Vegas pull off a blockbuster trade to draft higher, the chances of a reunion between the two aren’t substantial enough.
