Leeds United signing Connor Roberts is set to be announced imminently after the way was cleared for him to join the club from Burnley, according to Matt Scrafton.
The Burnley Express journalist reported via Twitter late on 1 February that the Welsh defender’s Deadline Day move to Elland Road was set to be confirmed after the Clarets brought in Lorenze Assignon on loan from Rennes.

Scrafton wrote: “DONE DEAL. Lorenz Assignon has joined Burnley on loan from French side Rennes. Paves the way for Connor Roberts to join Leeds, which should be announced soon.”

With the window closing it will have Whites supporters on edge for confirmation of what might be the lone arrival at Elland Road in the winter window.
Farke took a risk by letting two full-backs depart when he looked like he already needed reinforcements in that area as the market opened.
Leeds United were interested in numerous options but it appears it is now Roberts or bust, and the indications are positive for his deal being far enough down the line to be announced after the deadline.
