This week, without a midweek match, Nottingham Forest will be hoping to gain some useful time on the training field.

The Reds’ 3-2 loss to Newcastle United on Saturday night left them dissatisfied since they had yet to win in the Premier League in 2024. This Saturday, they will play a major game at the City Ground when West Ham United visits.

What is known: During the FA Cup replay victory against Bristol City last week, the Argentine was substituted late in the game. He was not included in the match against the Magpies and was scheduled to get a scan on Friday to ascertain the severity of the issue.

What has been stated: “Just before we brought him off the field, Gonzalo felt something in his hamstring while out on a run. Nuno mentioned that he was uncomfortable at his pre-match press conference on Friday. “Tonight at 7 p.m., he will undergo the scan. For tomorrow, he is unavailable, but we will have to wait and see.

What is known is that a two-month absence for the striker is anticipated. He had left the game at halftime against Arsenal due to hamstring strain, and he will now miss a sizable amount of time.

What has been said: Nuno stated prior to the Bristol City game, “Unfortunately, Chris is not available.” “He has left. He will be absent for a while. I hope not too long, but we’ll see.
