Dave McMenamin from ESPN stated that LeBron James revealed after the All-Star Game on Sunday that he will undergo treatment on his left ankle, which might lead to him being sidelined for the upcoming Warriors game.

As per the Los Angeles Times’ Dan Woike also, Lakers star James had received treatment on his ankle ahead of All-Star Weekend and will receive more in the coming days.James also mentioned that the ankle injury could keep him out of Thursday’s game against the Golden State Warriors.As one of the oldest players in the league, he had only missed seven games all year. However, the ankle injury caused the veteran to miss the Lakers’ final game before the All-Star break against the Utah Jazz on Wednesday.

On Sunday, at his media availability, he said, I won’t be playing the entire game tonight for sure, per Rachel Nichols. He initially injured his ankle in December and has dealt with it ever since.

James will be making his 20th All-Star Game appearance in 21 years and is putting up 24.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 7.8 assists per game this season.He played only 14 minutes in the All-Star Game, finishing with eight points, four rebounds and three assists.

Trying to get my ankle as strong and as back to where I feel confident that I can finish off this last third of the season. I won’t be playing the entire game tonight, for sure. I can get out there and run around with the young guys for a little bit and then shut it down at some point to give my body, and my ankle more importantly, another opportunity to rest.
