Lakers Injury Report: Banged-Up Kings See Multiple Starters on Injury Report.

Sitting at 37-27, the Sacramento Kings sit in the 7th seed in the Western Conference, as they look to avoid the play-in tournament.

At 6-4 in their last 10, they’ve steady remained around the same winning percentage, vacillating between the 4th and 7th seed over the past few months.

Led by De’Aaron Fox, Domantas Sabonis, and Malik Monk, their high-powered offense has given the Lakers problems over the past couple of seasons, most recently doing so last Wednesday, where Fox and Monk combined for 70 points, leading the Lakers by as many as 22.

Unlike that game, however, they may be without two starters: Kevin Huerter (leg), and Keegan Murray (ankle).

Huerter, per CBS Sports, is “iffy” for the contest, while Murray missed the team’s last game against Milwaukee, suggesting the possibility of a more serious injury.

The absence of either would be huge for Sacramento, as both have a huge two-way impact, and you could go as far as saying that they’re the only two reliable defensive players on the roster that add consistent offensive value.

This also impacts their spacing, as guard Keon Ellis, who will start in place of one of them as he did against Milwaukee, is a worse shooter, albeit still a solid option.

We’ll get more clarity on their status shortly, but the absence of either would be massive for the Lakers, who need all the help they can get against this Nuggets-like kryptonite.
