CONGRATULATIONS: Steve Sarkisian have Reportely Signed Another 5-Star QB Worth $79.5million.

Texas football head coach Steve Sarkisian has great goals for the club, and they will face stiff competition in the deep SEC. He is bringing in top talent from both the transfer portal and the recruiting pool to help the Longhorns build on last season’s College Football Playoff berth. The field will grow in 2024, but each high-end candidate may make a significant impact.

The next player to wear the trademark burnt orange and white might be Faheem Delane, the No. 1 safety in the 2025 recruiting class. According to Andrew Miller of Hook’Em Headlines, he will travel to Austin on April 13 to see the team. The 6-foot-2 junior from Our Lady Good Counsel High School has yet to arrange an

official visit with any other team this spring, hinting that the Longhorns may be on his shortlist.
Texas allowed the 13th fewest points per game in the FBS (17.5), but their secondary was exposed several times last season. A dynamic athlete like Delane might someday help the squad compete against the NCAA’s finest passing assaults. Michael Penix Jr. and the Washington offense annihilated the defense in the Sugar Bowl, forcing the Big 12 champions to play from behind for nearly the entire second half.

This squad pushed its way back into the national title discussion after many supporters had written it off. Now, Texas football must take the next step back to the top. Steve Sarkisian certainly believes Faheem Delane will be an important part of that rise. Unfortunately, so do numerous other Power Five institutions.

The Texas football team has been waiting a long time to return, but after this year’s season, I believe it is safe to say that they have returned. However, the main issue is whether Texas is here to stay or will fall back into the abyss after entering the SEC this season.

The Longhorns concluded the regular season 11-1 and advanced to the Big 12 Championship game against Oklahoma State. Texas easily defeated the Cowboys in that game, winning the Big 12 title and improving to 12-1, as well as earning a spot in the College Football Playoff. This was the season that Texas supporters had long hoped for, and it finally arrived. They must now build on their previous success.
