JUST IN: The Golden State Warriors reveal a fresh addition to….

Before facing the Denver Nuggets, the Golden State Warriors revealed that Gui Santos had been reassigned to the G-League Santa Cruz Warriors.

In their statement, the team expressed the following:

The Golden State Warriors have assigned forward Gui Santos to the team’s G League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors, it was announced today. Santos is expected to play in Santa Cruz’s game tonight against the Raptors 905 at Kaiser Permanente Arena (7 p.m. PST tipoff). In 23 NBA G League games (all starts) with Santa Cruz this season, Santos is averaging 14.1 points, 7.1 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 28.6 minutes per game. He has appeared in 14 games with Golden State, averaging 3.9 points and 2.4 rebounds in 8.5 minutes per game. This will of course be a story to follow, because while Santos has bounced back and forth between the G-League and NBA level this season, his role with the Warriors has grown a bit in recent weeks, seeing some rotation minutes.
