Shocking Awful News:Unexpected I Must Leave NFL Suddenly Shocking Awful News: I Must Leave NFL Suddenly Justin Fields Signed And Retire…….

What the Chicago Bears choose to do in the 2024 NFL draft is now the most significant question in the NFL. Do they begin a new rebuild by selecting Caleb Williams with the first overall pick? Or will the Bears continue to use Justin Fields and make trades in order to get additional players? The fan base has been fairly divided on this topic.

Peter King discussed the Bears’ plans in the upcoming draft in his retirement piece. It turns out that King’s sources also say that the Bears are probably going to trade Fields and choose Williams with the first overall pick. The veteran NFL writer did, however, lay out his own strategy for the first overall choice. Warning: there will be no drafting of the USC quarterback involved.

What I say: The Bears should and could keep Justin Fields, trade the first selection once or twice, and assemble the sort of supporting group that a contending club requires. Assume general manager Ryan Poles sent Washington, which would have selected Caleb Williams, the top pick in exchange for the second pick, a second-round selection, and a first-round selection in 2025. Let’s say that at pick eight, Poles traded Atlanta the second selection, and the Falcons selected one of the other quarterbacks. Chicago receives the eighth pick in exchange for Atlanta’s second-round selection as well as first- and second-round choices the following year.

What’s the outcome of all these speculative transactions? Three firsts and two seconds in 2025, and two firsts and two second round picks this year. Any team would be lucky to get that much, and it would be sufficient to start from scratch. Everything depends on the Bears selecting top players with their choices. It would be difficult to make a mistake, though, with that many selections.

Naturally, the Bears’ preference for Justin Fields over Caleb Williams will determine how this transaction turns out. Fields’ career has been turbulent, with many highs and lows. Although he hasn’t developed into an NFL quarterback of the highest caliber, his legs have breathed new life into Chicago’s rushing game. It seems more plausible that Chicago will choose Caleb Williams in the first round and pass on Justin Fields, even in spite of King’s advice.
