Sunderland ‘not willing’ to let player leave amid numerous approaches – Suitor not giving up
Sunderland‘s Brian Brobbey has ended up on the agenda of several European clubs, and the World Cup is helping to drive interest.
The Premier League side signed the Netherlands international from Ajax in September 2025.
After overcoming initial difficulties, the striker starred for Sunderland and finished his debut season with eight goals and an assist.

His performances for the Black Cats saw claims of interest from several clubs. Two months ago, the 24-year-old said it’s flattering when responding to Bayern Munich links.
The frontman’s form has also helped him cement a place in the national team and he’s now starring at the World Cup. He scored three goals in Oranje’s victories over Sweden and Tunisia.
Growing interest in Sunderland player
Tutto Juve now reports on interest and the Black Cats’ plans for him. They make it clear it’s their own information.
Juventus, Atlético Madrid and VfB Stuttgart are all monitoring the former Ajax man’s situation, after his fine displays for club and country.
The latest claims in the UK state Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United and Aston Villa are also in the mix. The interest has only increased with him impressing at the World Cup.
Tutto Juve relays that and adds that several clubs have made contact.
Their details aren’t mentioned and it may not matter because Sunderland ‘do not appear willing to let go of their striker easily’. They consider the Dutchman as an important part of their project.
That won’t stop Juventus from showing interest in player, but currently there are no negotiations. A potential deal would depend on Brobbey’s willingness to leave, and the finances needed to secure his services.
Our take: Sunderland can hold on to him
Brian Brobbey has a contract until 2029, and Transfermarkt values him at €30m.
With three years left on his contract, Sunderland have some protection.
The Black Cats also have no urgent need to raise funds to balance their books.
If Brobbey were to push for a move, his suitors should be ready to spend way more than his €30m value.
