England signed off their World Cup campaign in unforgettable fashion, defeating France 6-4 in a breathtaking third-place play-off that had everything—stunning goals, dramatic momentum swings, and a sensational hat-trick from Bukayo Saka.
Thomas Tuchel made several changes to his starting XI for the clash in Miami, handing opportunities to Dean Henderson, Eberechi Eze, Ivan Toney and Bukayo Saka. The fresh lineup responded brilliantly, producing a dominant first-half display that left the two-time world champions reeling.

With France pushing relentlessly for an equaliser, England found the moment they desperately needed. Djed Spence won a penalty after a driving run into the box, and Saka confidently converted from the spot to complete a memorable hat-trick and restore England’s two-goal cushion.
Ousmane Dembele curled home a superb effort to make it 5-4, but any hopes of a dramatic French comeback were ended in stoppage time when substitute Jude Bellingham calmly finished England’s sixth goal to seal an extraordinary victory and secure the World Cup bronze medal.
