SPAIN HEAD COACH LUIS DELA FUENTE TEARS INTO BEHAVIOUR OF ARGENTINA PLAYERS IN BRUTAL STATEMENT

Spain head coach Luis de la Fuente has finally spoken out following the dramatic aftermath of the 2026 FIFA World Cup final, admitting he had kept his emotions under control for several days before addressing the controversy involving Argentina.

Speaking publicly for the first time since Spain’s hard-fought 1-0 victory, De la Fuente expressed his disappointment over the chaotic scenes that unfolded after the final whistle. While celebrating his team’s historic triumph, the Spain manager insisted that the focus should have remained on football rather than the heated confrontations that overshadowed the occasion.

“I’ve stayed quiet because I wanted to respect the tournament and allow emotions to settle,” De la Fuente reportedly said. “But there are things that should never happen on a football pitch, especially in a World Cup final.”

The Spanish coach praised his players for maintaining their composure throughout the match and urged everyone involved in the game to show greater respect, regardless of the result. He also reiterated that winning should always come with humility and losing should be handled with dignity.

His comments come as FIFA continues to review incidents that occurred after the final whistle, with several players from both teams still under disciplinary scrutiny. Although no final verdict has yet been announced, De la Fuente’s remarks have reignited debate among supporters of both nations.

The Spanish manager concluded by saying that while rivalries make football special, respect for opponents and the sport itself must always come first.
