The Ivorian winger joined Sunderland from Brighton last summer for £20.5m, but he spent the second half of last season on loan at Monaco in Ligue 1. He played 14 games and scored three goals in the French top flight, playing twice in the Champions League too. He only managed one goal in 14 appearances for the Black Cats in the Premier League following his move.
Adingra’s loan spell at Monaco suggested he could still deliver at a higher level. But his overall record at Sunderland has been disappointing. The winger has not lived up to his £20.5m price tag. And now West Ham are considering a loan move to bring him back to the Premier League.
