Nottingham Forest are facing an important summer ahead of the 2026/27 Premier League season

Nottingham Forest have announced Lina Souloukou has decided to step down from the role of the club’s chief executive officer.
The former Roma CEO was appointed to the same position at the City Ground in December 2024 and officially took up the role the following month. She had previously worked with Reds owner Evangelos Marinakis at Olympiacos.
Announcing her departure, Forest said in a statement: “Nottingham Forest FC can confirm that, following discussions with the club, Lina Souloukou has decided to step down from her role as Chief Executive Officer at the end of the season. Lina joined the Club at the start of 2025 and has played an important role during a period of significant success, both on and off the pitch. Everyone at Nottingham Forest thanks Lina for her contribution and wishes her well for the future.”
As part of the club’s statement, Souloukou is quoted as saying: “It has been an honour to serve as the Chief Executive of Nottingham Forest. I have enjoyed my time here enormously and feel that we have made incredible progress under the ownership of Evangelos Marinakis.”
Souloukou’s exit follows that of Craig Mulholland. The latter recently left his role as head of football development to take up the post of chief football officer at the Scottish FA.
The duo are unlikely to be the only departures from the club this summer. Global head of football Edu is also expected to leave, with the former Arsenal chief’s appointment Trentside having not exactly worked out.
It is an important summer for Forest. Under head coach Vitor Pereira they secured Premier League survival with two games to spare and reached the semi-finals of the Europa League, but the aim is to avoid being in a relegation battle when the 2026/27 cam
paign begins.
