Nottingham Forest have confirmed that experienced defender Willy Boly is set for a permanent exit from the City Ground after the club confirmed their retained list for the 2026/27 season.
The 35-year-old Ivorian, who joined from Wolves in 2022, has made 47 appearances for Forest and provided valuable leadership in the Premier League. His contract expires at the end of June, and both parties have agreed he will leave on a free transfer.
Boly’s departure forms part of a clear-out that also includes goalkeepers Stefan Ortega and Angus Gunn, plus the return of on-loan striker Lorenzo Lucca to Napoli.

Forest have thanked the departing players for their contributions as they prepare for another busy summer window under Vitor Pereira, with focus now shifting to incoming reinforcements.
This marks the end of Boly’s chapter at the club after playing a key role in their survival battles in recent seasons.
