Leeds United have sprung into action this week after The Athletic revealed that the club have agreed a deal to sign Harry Wilson. The attacking midfielder is now set to undergo a medical before completing his move to Elland Road.
Supporters are expecting another busy summer after chairman Paraag Marathe reiterated that the 49ers are prepared to invest in the squad ahead of the new Premier League campaign.

Marathe’s comments followed weeks of Daniel Farke urging the club’s owners to match his ambition in the transfer market. The Leeds boss, whose contract expires next summer, is expected to hold talks over a new deal in the coming weeks.
While Leeds are expected to strengthen, this transfer window may not be as active as last summer. The introduction of the Premier League’s new Squad Cost Ratio (SCR) regulations means the Whites must be more cautious with their spending, making player sales increasingly important.
Adam Pope makes huge Leeds United claim
Leeds have already agreed a deal for Harry Wilson and continue to work on several other targets.
Julian Brandt remains a player of interest, with the Whites hoping to convince the Borussia Dortmund star over a move. Meanwhile, a fresh bid for Shea Charles is expected after Southampton rejected an opening £20 million offer.
BBC Radio Leeds reporter Adam Pope has revealed that Leeds are being inundated with transfer offers from agents and clubs this summer.
According to Pope, players are being offered to Leeds “left, right and centre” as soon as clubs and agents hear the Whites are targeting a particular position. However, he insisted that Leeds already have a clear recruitment strategy and specific targets they intend to pursue.

Which positions do Leeds still need to strengthen?
Leeds still have several areas of the squad that require reinforcement before the new season begins.
The goalkeeping situation remains uncertain with Karl Darlow’s contract nearing its expiry. The Wales international has been linked with Manchester United, although there is still a possibility he stays at Elland Road. Even if he remains, signing another goalkeeper would be a sensible move.
Defensively, Leeds need another centre-back as well as cover at left-back. Gabriel Gudmundsson lacked a natural deputy last season, while the club may also need extra central defensive depth should Pascal Struijk leave this summer.
Midfield creativity has also been a priority, although Harry Wilson’s expected arrival would go a long way towards solving that issue. Julian Brandt is another player being considered to add further quality in the final third.
Finally, Leeds are still expected to recruit another striker to provide competition for Dominic Calvert-Lewin throughout the Premier League campaign.
