bears trade News: Unexpected justi fields Trade because…..

Justin Fields, the quarterback for the Chicago Bears right now, is the subject of a lot of talk, and rightfully so. Up until they make a choice on what is perhaps the most important position in football, the Bears will probably control the conversation both before the draft and during free agency. In a recent mailbag piece, Boston Herald beat reporter Doug Kyed addressed a query regarding Fields. Kyed covers the New England Patriots. A particular query focused on the Patriots’ role in talks about a potential deal for Fields. This is what Doug disclosed.

I’ve been instructed to keep all possibilities open at quarterback. Making a deal with the Bears for Justin Fields appears to be an option if the Patriots would like to draft an offensive lineman, wide receiver, or a player at another position at No. 3 overall (or trade down).

For Justin Fields, what might the Bears obtain from New England?

This is where things may become intriguing: The Patriots and Chicago may work out a fascinating agreement. In this scenario, they would trade first round selections, sending No. 9 to New England, in order to acquire quarterback Justin Fields from the Bears in exchange for their No. 3 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Chicago might add a day three choice if needed to sweeten the pot. In exchange, the Patriots would keep their selection in the top 10 and acquire their quarterback, pushing the Bears up six positions in the process. With this deal, Chicago may be able to get Marvin Harrison Jr. and Caleb Williams. New England, though, could decide to hang onto their top-3 selection. In that scenario, it could still be possible to close the deal with Chicago by providing a few second-round selections and a day three choice. There seems to be disagreement on Justin Fields’ trade market value; some believe he should be selected highly. Not only is New England keen to play Fields, but there are probably a few other teams as well.
