Crystal Palace, Everton, Leeds United and Sunderland are all tracking Boca Juniors prospect Milton Delgado, with the youngster’s progress reportedly viewed as highly promising.
Despite being only 20 years old, Delgado has already made 21 senior appearances for Boca Juniors and has also featured for Argentina at Under-20 level.
The defensive midfielder has become a regular presence in Boca’s side in the Argentine top flight this season, registering an assist in a draw against San Lorenzo.
His displays have attracted attention from scouts across Europe, with several clubs now exploring the possibility of bringing him to the continent.
Premier League interest in Delgado is particularly strong.
According to Argentine outlet El Intransigente, Crystal Palace, Everton, Leeds United and Sunderland are all monitoring the midfielder closely, while Boca Juniors are encouraged by the rapid progress he has shown this year.
Delgado has grown into an important player for Boca, however, and the club currently believe this is not the right moment to part ways with him.
The Argentine giants are keen for the midfielder to continue developing, which they believe will further increase his market value, and they are determined to keep hold of him for now.
With Delgado under contract until the summer of 2029, Boca are in a strong negotiating position.
Club president Juan Roman Riquelme is reportedly unwilling to sanction a sale for anything below £11m, despite Boca’s present stance of not wanting to sell.
Leeds United, one of the clubs credited with interest in Delgado, are expected to invest heavily during the summer window, according to former Premier League winger Aaron Lennon.
The Whites may look to reinforce their midfield options, particularly with Ao Tanaka attracting transfer interest and Sean Longstaff unable to fully establish himself.
Everton are also preparing for a busy summer, amid suggestions the club could make significant progress if they recruit effectively.
Crystal Palace may also appeal to Delgado, especially if they secure Conference League success, while Sunderland have earned praise for their smart recruitment strategy in recent windows.
Although Boca Juniors are reluctant to negotiate at this stage, strong competition from Premier League clubs could eventually drive Delgado’s valuation even higher.
