Coventry City have been handed a significant boost in their pursuit of AC Milan defender Fikayo Tomori, with fresh reports indicating the England international is available for a fee in the region of €20 million as the summer transfer window enters its final stages.
According to Italian outlet Quotidiano Sportivo, AC Milan are prepared to sell the 28-year-old centre-back this summer. Tomori has fallen down the pecking order under new head coach Ruben Amorim following the arrival of Mario Gila, and with only one year remaining on his contract, the Serie A club are open to offers.
Metro and other British outlets have confirmed that Coventry are among the Premier League clubs showing concrete interest, alongside Liverpool and Newcastle United. The Sky Blues’ involvement carries particular weight due to manager Frank Lampard’s previous relationship with the player. Lampard worked with Tomori during his time at Chelsea and also managed him on loan at Derby County, where the defender first began to establish himself as a senior professional.
