Ally mccoist warns of an unthinkable scenario for rangers.

Rangers legend Ally McCoist has issued a stark warning over the club’s European future, admitting that the possibility of Rangers being left without European football is now a genuine concern.

Rangers have already suffered a major setback after being knocked out of the Europa League qualifiers by Jagiellonia Bialystok, losing the tie 3-2 on aggregate. The result means the Ibrox side must now navigate the Conference League play-offs if they are to keep their European campaign alive.

McCoist has described the prospect of Rangers not playing European football as “unthinkable”, highlighting just how far the club’s European position has fallen compared with recent seasons.

The former Rangers striker also admitted that he is concerned by the team’s start under Derek McInnes. Rangers have struggled to find consistency, while the early Europa League exit has placed even greater pressure on the squad and management.

The Conference League play-off now takes on enormous importance. Failure to get through that tie would leave Rangers facing the unthinkable scenario of no European football at all.

For a club that reached the Europa League final only a few seasons ago, such an outcome would represent a dramatic fall from those heights.

McCoist’s warning has therefore sent a clear message to Rangers: the next European tie is not just another fixture — it could determine whether the club has European football this season at all.

And with supporters already demanding answers, the pressure at Ibrox is only growing.
