In a rare and highly encouraging public message, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has offered warm advice and genuine support to Frank Lampard and Coventry City as the Sky Blues prepare for their return to the Premier League.

Work hard on the defensive structure first. Be difficult to beat. Make every home game a real battle for the opponents. The Premier League punishes mistakes, so reduce the easy goals you give away.
At the same time, be brave with the ball when you can. Find moments to attack with intensity. Use the energy of the fans at the CBS Arena — that can be worth points every season.
Most importantly, stay united. There will be difficult moments. Every promoted team faces them. The clubs that survive are the ones that stick together and keep trusting their idea.”
Guardiola continued with a more personal note directed at Lampard:
“Frank already knows what this league demands. He has the experience and the character. If Coventry stay compact, work harder than their opponents, and take their chances when they come, they can absolutely stay up. I believe they can do more than just survive if they get the balance right.”
The message has already begun circulating widely among Sky Blues supporters, many of whom have described it as both surprising and motivating. Coming from one of the most successful managers in Premier League history, Guardiola’s words carry significant weight.
