Leeds United alerted to shock striker opportunity as European giants plan clearout 🔥

Leeds United have already begun planning for the summer transfer window as they prepare for next season following their successful fight for Premier League survival.

While Daniel Farke is still demanding complete focus from his squad ahead of today’s clash with West Ham United — a match that could ultimately send the Hammers down — work is already underway behind the scenes at Elland Road.

Leeds pushing for ambitious summer recruitment

Farke has reportedly made it clear that he wants the club’s hierarchy to show greater ambition in the market this summer. Strengthening the attack is understood to be one of Leeds’ top priorities, with the Whites actively searching for a new striker ahead of the new campaign.

Leeds have now been alerted to the possible availability of a high-profile forward currently playing for one of Europe’s biggest clubs.

Leeds informed about Jonathan David situation

Jonathan David earned a huge reputation during his time at Lille before joining Juventus on a free transfer last summer.

However, the Canadian international has endured a difficult first season in Italy, managing just eight goals in 45 appearances across all competitions. As a result, Juventus are reportedly willing to consider offers for the striker this summer.

According to TeamTALK, Leeds are among several Premier League clubs contacted by David’s representatives regarding a potential move.

The Whites are now aware that the forward could become available during a summer in which signing a striker is considered almost certain.

Leeds are said to be exploring ambitious attacking options as they look to add more firepower to Farke’s squad ahead of next season.

Newcastle United, Aston Villa, Brighton and Crystal Palace have also been credited with interest in the former Lille star.

David still highly rated despite Juventus struggles

Despite his disappointing spell in Serie A, there remains a strong belief that David has the quality to succeed in the Premier League if he makes the switch to England.

Before joining Juventus, the striker had established himself as one of Europe’s most dependable goal scorers during his time in Ligue 1. He netted an impressive 109 goals in 232 appearances for Lille and consistently delivered at a high level.

Across his entire career, David has now scored 154 goals in 306 matches, having also impressed during his earlier spell with Belgian side KAA Gent.

Leeds also monitoring another Juventus striker

Lois Openda has also been linked with a move to Elland Road after enduring a disappointing campaign at Juventus, where goals proved difficult to come by.

Leeds are believed to hold a serious interest in David’s strike partner and could be prepared to invest heavily to secure the former RB Leipzig forward.

Juventus are reportedly planning a major squad overhaul this summer and are open to offloading both underperforming strikers to make room for new arrivals.

However, Leeds are unlikely to have the resources to sign both players, meaning the club may ultimately have to choose between David and Openda if they decide to do business with Juventus this summer.
