Nottingham Forest FC are gearing up for a crucial summer transfer window as head coach Vítor Pereira looks to strengthen his squad ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
After securing Premier League safety, Forest are now aiming to push higher up the table and challenge for a European spot, with transfer activity already beginning to gather pace.
Free Agent Option Emerges
One name now linked with the City Ground is experienced winger Solly March, who is expected to leave Brighton & Hove Albion FC this summer.
The 31-year-old is set to become a free agent after 13 years with Brighton, and Forest are reportedly among several Premier League clubs to express interest in a potential deal.

March’s versatility and top-flight experience could make him an attractive option, especially with uncertainty surrounding Forest’s wide attacking options despite additions in that area last season.
Defender Blow For Forest
Forest have also been linked with centre-back Nobel Mendy, but hopes of signing the defender appear to have taken a major hit.
Mendy spent last season on loan at Rayo Vallecano from Real Betis, and the Spanish side are now expected to trigger an option to make the deal permanent.
That would likely end Forest’s chances of landing the promising defender, forcing the Reds to look elsewhere for defensive reinforcements.
Midfield Situation Could Reopen
Forest may, however, have renewed hope in their pursuit of Arne Engels after failing with multiple bids for the Celtic FC midfielder during the winter transfer window.
Reports suggest Engels could now be among players likely to leave Celtic this summer, potentially reopening the door for Forest to reignite their interest.
With midfield reinforcements still a possibility and uncertainty around key players in the squad, Forest face an important few months as Pereira looks to fine-tune his team with only minor but significant additions.
