Arsenal prepare first official bid for Vinicius Jr. as Real Madrid improve renewal offer – report

Arsenal Ready First Official Bid for Vinicius Jr. as Real Madrid Step Up Contract Talks

Vinicius Jr.’s contract situation at Real Madrid has become one of the biggest stories of the summer, with the Brazilian winger now entering the final year of his current deal without an extension in place.

The uncertainty has strengthened the 25-year-old’s position in negotiations. Vinicius is understood to be seeking a new contract on terms similar to those of Kylian Mbappé, while Real Madrid have so far been unwilling to fully meet those demands. As a result, the Spanish giants are reportedly open to considering a sale if an appropriate offer arrives.

According to Florian Plettenberg, Arsenal are now preparing to submit their first official proposal to both Real Madrid and the player in an ambitious attempt to bring Vinicius to the Emirates this summer. The winger’s representatives have reportedly been informed that the offer is imminent.

Real Madrid, however, are determined to keep hold of one of their biggest stars. The club have responded by presenting Vinicius with an improved renewal proposal, hoping to secure his long-term future before Arsenal formalize their interest.

The Premier League club would likely need to break the English transfer record to complete the deal. Liverpool currently hold that mark after signing Alexander Isak for £125 million, but Vinicius is expected to command an even higher fee.

A move would also require Arsenal to significantly reshape their wage structure. Vinicius reportedly earns around £400,000 per week at Real Madrid and is expected to seek an even more lucrative salary if he leaves Spain, which would make him the highest-paid player in Arsenal’s squad.

Despite growing interest from North London, Vinicius is still believed to favor staying at Real Madrid. Nevertheless, with a new contract yet to be agreed and Arsenal preparing their opening bid, his future remains unresolved heading into the final stages of the transfer window.
